BATTLETECH shares the same setting as the BattleTech tabletop game, which went on to spawn its own media franchise, including video games including MechWarrior Online and the upcoming MechWarrior 5: Mercenaries. BATTLETECHwill soon be receiving new DLC, as Paradox Interactive and Harebrained Schemes announced at PDXCON 2019 that the Heavy Metal expansion will launch on November 21, 2019.
